Safety glass classification

(1) Tempered glass

Tempered glass is obtained by heating flat glass to a softening temperature, rapidly cooling it to quench or chemically exchanging it. This causes the surface of the glass to form a pressure layer, thereby increasing the bending strength of the glass by 5 to 6 times, the impact strength by about 3 times, and the toughness by about 5 times. When the tempered glass is broken, it does not form sharp and angular fragments, and thus does not injure people. Tempered glass can not be cut, it needs to be processed according to requirements, and can be made into polished tempered glass and heat-absorbing tempered glass, which is used for anti-vibration and anti-collision parts of doors, windows, partition walls and public places of buildings. Curved tempered glass is mainly used for doors and windows of large public buildings, skylights for industrial plants and window glass.

(2) laminated glass

Laminated glass is a flat or curved composite glass product obtained by heat-pressure bonding two or more sheets of flat glass with a transparent plastic sheet. The original glass film can be polished glass, float glass, colored glass, heat absorbing glass, heat reflecting glass, tempered glass, and the like. Laminated glass is characterized by good safety. This is because the intermediate bonded plastic lining does not cause the glass to break when it is broken, resulting in radial cracks, which does not hurt people, and therefore makes the impact strength much higher than that of ordinary glass. In addition, using different glass original sheets and intermediate interlayer materials, it is also possible to obtain properties such as light resistance, heat resistance, moisture resistance, and cold resistance. Laminated glass is suitable for doors and windows with high safety requirements, such as doors and windows of high-rise buildings, doors and windows of buildings, basements, doors and windows of buildings such as banks, and merchandise display cabinets and window displays.

(3) Wired glass

The wired glass is obtained by heating the ordinary flat glass to a red heat softening state, and then pressing the preheated metal wire or metal mesh into the glass. The surface can be embossed or polished, transparent or colored. Wire-wound glass is characterized by good safety. This is because the brushed glass has uniform internal stress and impact strength. When the glass is broken by external factors (earthquake, storm, fire, etc.), its debris can stick to it. On the wire (net), prevent debris from splashing and injuring people. In addition, this glass also has the effect of blocking flame and fire spread. Wire-dyed glass is suitable for doors and windows, roofs, skylights, industrial warehouses, library doors and windows, building composite exterior walls and transparent fences.

(4) Anti-theft glass

Anti-theft glass is a special type of laminated glass. It is generally made of tempered glass, extra-thick glass, reinforced plexiglass, polished rayon glass and other multi-layer composite glass glued with resin glue, and embedded in the middle interlayer and sensitive detecting components. Wait for the alarm device to be turned on.
