(3) Indian rosewood (P. indicus). Semi-annular or loose-pore material. The growth wheel is obvious. Heartwood reddish brown, deep reddish brown or golden yellow, often with dark and dark stripes; scratches are not seen; water leaching solution is dark yellowish brown, with fluorescence.
