In general, the richer the water content of the base layer, the deeper the penetration of the active layer, and the principle of penetration of the active material is the same as that of the aqueous solution.
2. The penetration depth of the active material is not only related to the porosity of the base layer, but also related to the length of time the active solution stays on the surface of the substrate. It is generally believed that the deeper and longer the active substance penetrates into the base layer, that is, the deeper the base layer produces crystals, the better the waterproof effect. In fact, the impermeability pressure is one of the most important indicators to measure the waterproof effect, but the deeper the active substance penetrates into the base layer, it does not mean that the impermeability pressure is larger. The osmotic crystalline waterproof material has a small amount of active material (about 4% of the total weight), and the crystal produced by this amount obviously cannot satisfy the deep filling requirement of the concrete with low compactness. Therefore, even if the active material penetrates deep into the base layer, the pore filling rate is not high and the impermeability pressure of the base layer cannot be truly increased. Under normal circumstances, the crystallization of the active material in the permeable crystalline waterproof material can fully fill the void of the concrete surface layer of 5 mm to 50 mm deep, and make it a rigid waterproof layer with better impermeability.
