Wheat lodging is one of the main factors affecting wheat yield under high-fertilizer conditions. Spraying paclobutrazol, uniconazole, chlormequat, and auxin can effectively prevent wheat from lodging.
Paclobutrazol in the wheat body, spraying 30 kg of paclobutrazol solution with a concentration of 200×10-6 per acre of wheat, can make the plant dwarf, enhance the lodging resistance, and improve the absorption and utilization of nitrogen fertilizer.
Uniconazole azole (5% wettable powder) has 6 to 10 times higher biological activity than paclobutrazol. It can be applied on wheat to prevent plant lodging and increase 1000-grain weight and reduce the number of infertile spikelets. One kilogram of wheat field per acre can be sprayed with 50 kg of a concentration of 30×10-6 to 40×10-6 of the uniconazole solution per acre of wheat.
For the large and long-growing wheat fields, chlormequat is sprayed with 0.15%~0.3% chlormequat solution 50-75 kg per acre at the beginning of jointing, which can effectively inhibit plant internode elongation and make plants dwarf and stem base. Become thicker and harder to prevent lodging. If mixed with 2,4-D butyl ester, it can also treat broadleaf weeds in wheat fields.
In the jointing stage of wheat, the cultivation of 15 to 20 ml per acre of wheat field and 50 to 60 kg of water can inhibit the elongation of the internode and prevent the lodging from falling. (Zhu)
