Saddle lathe

Lathe maintenance 1. Precautions when clamping the workpiece

Before the workpiece is clamped, impurities such as sand and mud in the workpiece must be removed to prevent the impurities from being embedded in the sliding surface of the carriage, which will intensify the soft wear or "bite" the guide rail. When clamping and correcting some workpieces with large size and complicated shape and small size and small assembly, a wooden bed cover should be placed on the lathe bed under the workpiece in advance, and the pressure plate or the active top pin should be used at the same time. Hold the workpiece to prevent it from falling off and damaging the lathe. If the position of the workpiece is found to be incorrect or skewed, avoid striking it hard so as not to affect the accuracy of the lathe spindle. The jaws, platen or thimble must be slightly loosened before proceeding. Correction.

2. Place the tools and turning tools. Do not place tools and turning tools on the bed to avoid knocking the rails. If you need to put it, cover the bed cover on the bed and put the tool and the knife on the bed cover.

(1) When sanding the workpiece, cover it with a bed cover or paper on the bed under the workpiece; after sanding, carefully clean the surface of the bed.

(2) When the cast iron workpiece is used, install the guard cover on the stern plate, and at the same time wipe off the lubricating oil on the surface of the bed that the chip can splash.

(3) When not in use, the lathe cleaning and maintenance work must be done to prevent chips, sand or impurities from entering the sliding surface of the lathe rail, causing the rail to "bite" or aggravate its wear.

(4) Before using the cooling lubricant, the garbage in the lathe rail and the cooling lubricant pan must be removed; after use, the cooling lubricant on the rail should be dried and mechanically lubricated.
Operation safety lathe operation

(1) Lubricate the machine tool according to the regulations before work, check whether the handles are in place, and drive the train for five minutes to confirm that everything is normal.

(2) The chuck chuck should be fastened, and the wrench cannot be left on the chuck or the chuck when it is turned on.

(3) The workpiece and tool should be clamped firmly, and the shank should not extend too long (except for the boring); turn the turret to stop to prevent the tool from colliding with the chuck, workpiece or scratching the hand.

(4) When the workpiece is running, the operator cannot stand upright on the workpiece, does not rely on the lathe, and does not step on the oil pan.

(5) When cutting at high speed, use chip breaker and retaining screen.

(6) High-speed anti-brake is forbidden, and the vehicle and parking should be stable.

(7) Remove iron filings, apply a brush or special hook.

(8) Use a trowel to light the workpiece, the right hand must be in front and the left hand in the back; use sanding cloth to light the workpiece, use "hand clip" and other tools to prevent twisting.

(9) Everything in the work, quantity, and cutting tools should be placed in a safe place nearby, so that it is neat and orderly.

(10) The lathe is not stopped. It is forbidden to take the workpiece on the front of the car or measure the workpiece.

(11) It is forbidden to open or remove the guard when the lathe is working.

(12) Close to work, the lathe should be cleaned and wiped, and the tailstock and slide box should be retracted to the far right end of the bed.
