2 Analysis and comparison of processing technology
The lead screw processing was originally processed by turning. The process route is: cold drawing → knurling → thread threading → calibration → drilling → cutting → chamfering, which is not only inefficient, high in cost, but also has low rigidity, turning and knurling due to small round steel. It is easy to deform and the small screw can't be produced. For this reason, we designed the cyclone milling screw equipment, which not only raises the speed from 1000r/min, which is determined by experience, to 2000r/min or more, but also finishes the knurling once. The process route becomes: cold drawing → knurling, milling → calibration → drilling, cutting → chamfering. Although cyclone milling causes large deformation of small-diameter workpieces (large deformation of large-diameter members), correction is also easy. 3 structural design
The equipment is modified by a lathe, the workpiece is rotated, and the cutter head and knurling tool holder are moved. Remove the lathe tool holder part, install the milling head and the self-made tool holder on the slide, and place the knurling knife on the tool holder, and place it on the front of the milling cutter. The left end of the workpiece is clamped by the chuck, the tail end is removed from the tailstock, and a bracket with a long hollow tube is installed, so that the longer material can be clamped at one time (equivalent to more than twice the length of one milling), and the milling part can be cut and processed. Reduce waste of end materials.
When specially designed, the light rod drives the lead screw to rotate in the nut, the left end of the screw rod is equipped with a spring chuck, the workpiece is rotated to the left, and the polished rod and the screw rod are all processed by the hollow tube (reducing waste of the end material). Because the middle suspension is long, you can consider lifting with an auxiliary bracket.
Knurling knife clamping device. The knurling device of the two designs is the same in the same way, except that the connection between the support frame and the machine tool is different. A hole is machined on the support frame, and the groove and the through hole are formed in the center line of the transverse through hole at the opposite side of the processing part: the groove width is equal to the width of the knurling handle, and the depth is the same as the height of the shank, and the root of the groove is perpendicular to the lower side of the groove. Milling a narrow groove to facilitate the outflow of fine iron filings from knurling, preventing the knurling wheel from being stuck and jammed. The knurling knife is pressed with the quick change cover, and the knurling handle is tightened by a screw with a plum handle. The round steel is knurled after passing through the guide sleeve, and then it is milled at a high speed to complete the two processes at one time. The guide sleeve is made of tool steel quenched and tempered, and the upper sleeve is milled and the length is flat with the end surface of the bracket. The guide sleeve positioning pin hole, the mounting screw and the bracket are matched to ensure that the opening faces the groove center line.
