"Dual power" drives the launch of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal thousand-ton pure electric transport ship

The first 1000-ton pilot pure electric transport ship "Zhongtian Dianyun 001" on the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal was launched at the terminal of Changzhou Jiangsu Jinyang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

The ship is driven by lithium battery and super capacitor "dual power". The battery capacity of the whole ship is 1458 kWh. It is charged by the shore charging facility invested by Changzhou Power Supply Company for 2.5 hours and can last for 50 kilometers. Slag transportation to Lianjiangqiao terminal.

At present, more than 90% of domestic waterborne ships use diesel power as the propulsion system, which has the problems of high fuel cost, high noise, and serious pollution. Compared with fuel-fueled ships, electric ships have zero emissions, zero pollution, low vibration and low noise, which can greatly reduce the emission of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and other exhaust gases, and improve air quality and river water quality.

In 2018, Changzhou Power Supply Company extensively researched the cutting-edge technology of domestic electric ships. It negotiated and docked with many companies 7 times before and after, measured the fuel tanker data, organized multiple technical certifications, fully solicited the opinions of relevant departments, and promoted the implementation of the pure electric transport ship project. In December 2018, Zhongtian Iron and Steel Group Corporation, Shanghai Ruihua Group Corporation and Changzhou Power Supply Company signed a tripartite cooperation agreement to build and operate a 1,000-ton pure electric transport ship in a market-oriented manner. According to the agreement, Zhongtian Iron and Steel Group Corporation invested in the construction of the hull, Shanghai Ruihua Group Corporation provided pure electric transportation ship power technology and battery leasing, and Changzhou Power Supply Company invested in the construction of shore power charging facilities.

At present, Changzhou Power Supply Company has constructed 14 charging piles in Xueyan Huadu Water Service Area. According to the current diesel fuel price of 6.5 yuan / liter and 10 kV general industrial and commercial electricity price of 0.65 yuan / kWh, compared with pure fuel ships, the unit mileage can save 75% of the energy cost per unit mileage.
