CPU222PLC has 8 input points and 6 output points, so you need to add an expansion module, select 8 output The digital expansion module EM222. The input point is I0.0-I0.7; the output points are Q0.0-Q0.5 and Q1.0-Q1.7, and the distribution is shown in Table 1 and Table 2 below:
3.2 The key equipment part of the controller system is the PLC. PLC is a computer device specially used for the automation control of industrial processes with the single chip as the core, which has extremely high reliability and stability. This system selects Siemens S7-200 series CPU222PLC as the core of control, and uses the 2 independent 20KHz high-speed pulse output of CPU222 to control the movement of stepping motor. This high-speed pulse signal cannot directly drive the stepper motor, and it needs to be amplified by the stepper motor driver to function. The five digital inputs are connected to five sensors to determine the position of the stepper motor, the position of the workpiece, and the position of the tool tip. Of the 14 digital outputs, 6 are used to control the stepper motor driver and 8 are used to control the solenoid valve switch.
The PLC has a communication port, which is a standard RS-485 interface. When the PLC communicates with the host computer, the RS-485 interface needs to be converted into a standard RS-232 interface. The isolated PLC/PPI provided by the four gates can be used. The cable is converted. The cable has a DIP switch that can be set. After the control software is written on the upper computer, download the program through this line and monitor the running of the program. In order to reduce the cost, after the program is debugged, it is not necessary to use the upper computer for operation and control, but a simple operation panel can be used.

3.3 System Peripherals According to the high requirements of the system for tool processing accuracy, stepper motors are used to control the machining program. The stepper motor can be accurate to one pulse, and the accuracy of one pulse in this system is 0.005mm. The stepper motor driver is used to drive the stepper motor to control the movement of the cutter head and complete the flat head. The stepper motor driver receives the signal of the PLC, including the CP step pulse signal, the DIR direction signal, and the FREE offline signal, and outputs it to the two-phase stepping motor connected later through the internal power amplifier circuit and the processing circuit. The stepper motor generates the corresponding action according to the number of the signal. The solenoid valve directly accepts the control signal from the PLC to generate an action. In addition, the PLC directly accepts the signal of the sensor, and determines the output by calculation of internal programs and logical judgment.
