Yunnan Aluminum Successfully Developed Domestic and High-efficiency Extra Large Power Supply Rectifier Equipment

Yunnan Aluminum Co., Ltd. and Guiyang Aluminum Magnesium Design and Research Institute jointly researched and developed the largest single-capacity capacity in China, the widest pressure-regulation range, the highest number of continuous on-load voltage regulators, and the best technical performance of the energy-efficient 220 kV direct drop type. The on-load voltage regulator and large-capacity rectifier transformer have been successful, enabling China's large-scale aluminum enterprises to build up a good economy in terms of the choice of power supply rectification equipment to get rid of dependence on imports.

The power supply rectifier efficiency of the rectifier transformer is 98.62% tested by the national authority, which is higher than the 98.3% efficiency guarantee value of the imported equipment of the same type. Since it was put into use in 2003, the system has been operating stably, and it has become a new product of power supply rectification equipment representing contemporary international advanced level. As the large-scale electrolytic aluminum power supply rectifiers are mostly similar to the second-phase technical transformation of Yun Aluminum, the project has a good demonstration. At present, the equipment has been applied and promoted in aluminum plants such as Lanzhou Aluminum Corporation.
