Chrome plating refers to electroplating chrome. There are two kinds of chrome plating, one is decorative chrome and the other is hard chrome. Hard chrome plating is a better way to increase the surface hardness, but it has many advantages and disadvantages, so it is not used in many cases.

advantage:

First, the surface finish is good.

Second, it will not rust, there will be no rust spots.

Third, the original parts are less deformed during the plating process.

Fourth, if the size of the hardware parts is not in place, you can achieve the size by adding a few chrome (this is an advantage, but also a disadvantage, so the chrome-plated parts must be reserved).

Fifth, the surface is more beautiful.

Disadvantages:

First, the price is high, the cost of not only plating is high, and it needs to be processed after plating.

Second, it is not suitable for parts with complicated surfaces.

Third, the thickness is too thin, generally only about 0.05-0.15mm.
