Special character input solution in AutoCAD

In engineering drawings, it is sometimes necessary to input special characters such as "α", "β", "ω". The usual method we use is to use a "character map". But on some computers, we can't call up the "character map" from AutoCAD. How do I complete the input of special characters when I encounter this situation?
