How to choose a measuring instrument:
1. Measuring instruments can be divided into standard gauges, limit gauges, measuring instruments and measuring assemblies according to their uses and characteristics. The basis for selecting the measuring instrument is the size of the tolerance value of the measured object.
2. For absolute measurement, the measurement range of the measuring instrument is required to be larger than the measured quantity, but it is not too different. Since measuring a small workpiece with a measuring instrument having a large measuring range is not only uneconomical, but the accuracy of the measurement is difficult to ensure.
3. For comparative measurement, the indication range of the measuring instrument must be greater than the parameter tolerance of the device under test.
4. When measuring the shape error, the measuring head of the measuring instrument should be reciprocating, so the influence of the return error should be considered. When the accuracy of the workpiece is high, a high-precision measuring instrument with high sensitivity and small backlash error should be selected.
5. For thin, soft and easily deformable workpieces, measuring instruments with small measuring force should be used.
6. For rough surfaces, do not use sophisticated measuring instruments to measure. The surface roughness value of the surface to be tested is less than or equal to the surface roughness value of the measuring surface of the measuring instrument. 7. General (Wantong) measuring instruments should be used for single or small batch production. Special measuring instruments should be given priority in mass production.
