Guo Minghao said that an iPad equipped with a mini-LED will have a 10 to 12-inch screen, and the corresponding MacBook will have a 15 to 17-inch screen. Considering the screen size and advanced features of the mini-LED screen technology, it is likely to be the new MacBook Pro.
The report said that Apple is interested in using mini-LED screen panels because of its rich wide color gamut, high contrast, high dynamic range and local dimming. Mini-LEDs are also believed to produce thinner, more energy-efficient panels. In fact, Guo Mingxi believes that Apple will prefer mini-LED instead of OLED because the former will not age.
