Application of CAE Technology in Injection Mold Cooling System (3)

(3) Temperature distribution in the thickness direction of the product. The temperature at which the article is ejected is an important factor in determining whether the cooling time is reasonable. If the temperature is too high, it is necessary to strengthen the cooling or extend the cooling time appropriately; and if the temperature is too low, the cooling time is too long. MPI/Cool can predict the temperature distribution of the product at different positions along the thickness direction at the time of ejection, the position of the highest temperature in the thickness direction, the average temperature along the thickness direction, and the change in the thickness direction of a certain unit temperature.

(4) Curing time of the product. The time required for the article to fully cure is predicted based on the temperature of the mold surface.

(5) Temperature distribution of the cooling medium and temperature distribution on the surface of the cooling pipe. The temperature change of the cooling medium, the temperature difference between the surface of the cooling pipe and the cooling medium is an important basis for determining whether the cooling is effective.

Figure 1 is a partial result of the first cooling simulation analysis. (a) shows the surface temperature distribution of the part; Figure (b) shows the surface temperature distribution of the part; Figure (c) shows the total time required for the part to cure; Figure (d) shows the cooling The state of the tube distribution - that is, the temperature of the coolant.
